New doctor joins team

Southeast Georgia Physician Associates-Pulmonary Medicine and Southeast Georgia Health System recently welcomed Dr. Herman Levy to the practice’s Camden Campus office at 2040 Dan Proctor Drive, Suite 120, St. Marys. Levy, who has been diagnosing and treating pulmonary conditions for the past 25 years in Brunswick and Jesup, will begin seeing patients in the St. Mary’s office this month.

Board-certified in internal medicine, Levy specializes in pulmonary and critical care medicine. He diagnoses and treats respiratory diseases and conditions of the lungs including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), lung infections, lung cancer, sleep apnea and other airway problems.

Levy earned his high school diploma from New York Military Academy, his bachelor degree from University of Montana, and his medical degree from the University of Heidelberg in Germany. He completed his internship at Northwestern University Medical School in Illinois, with a specialty in internal medicine, and holds fellowships in pulmonary and critical care medicine from the Upstate Medical Center, New York.

Hospital store to hold sale

The Brunswick Campus Auxiliary will hold a fashion outerwear and handbag sale from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday in the Linda S. Pinson Conference Center, 2415 Parkwood Drive.

The Camden Campus Auxiliary Fashion Outerwear and Handbag Sale will take place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday in the Conference Center, 2000 Dan Proctor Drive, St. Marys. Cash, debit and most major credit cards are accepted. A portion of the sale proceeds will be donated to the Health System. Yoga class to be held for charity

Wynnever Fitness, 260 Hyde Park Commons, Brunswick, will host a donation-based yoga class for Riley’s Soles for Souls, founded by Riley Letson, who began the shoe collection charity when she was nine. Admission to the class is one pair of shoes for those in need. Participants may bring more than one pair if desired. The class will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the gym. It will be a multi-level class. Riley’s Soles for Souls has gathered more than 2,500 pairs of shoes for the needy in the three years since its inception.
