Epworth by the Sea, 100 Arthur J. Moore Drive, St. Simons Island, will host retired Methodist minister and Wesley Scholar, the Rev. Dave Hanson’s program, “Walk With Wesley” from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursdays in the Moore Methodist Museum. Hanson will take an in-depth look at the lives of John and Charles Wesley while they were on St. Simons Island in 1736. Free to the public.

First African Baptist Church, 5800 Frederica Road, St. Simons Island will host a fifth pastoral anniversary celebration for the Rev. Brenda Iglehart at 11 a.m. Sunday. Rep. Al Williams, of House District 168, will be the speaker. The speaker for the 4 p.m. service will be Bishop Luther DePaul Iglehart, senior presiding bishop of Church of God in Christ USA.

Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 3425 MLK Blvd., Brunswick, will hold its Annual Women’s Conference at 9:30 a.m. today at the church. The speaker will be the Rev. Dori Griffin of the Church of the Harvest in Midway. Refreshments will be served following the program.

St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 1120 Newcastle St., Brunswick, hosts its nondenominational crafters guild from 6-9 p.m. Tuesdays in the St. Joseph Room in the church parish hall. No fees. Everyone is welcome. All types of crafts and ideas area shared. The guild provides hats for preemies and cancer patients, along with leg warmers and lap rugs for nursing homes. Details: 265-6816.

Zion Baptist Church will hold its third annual dinner theater at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 23 at the College Place United Methodist Church, 3890 Altama Avenue, Brunswick. The event is being presented by the Rev. Craig B. Campbell, pastor, the book club and R.E.A.C.H Ministries of Zion Baptist Church. The theme is “Enhancing the Christian Walk through Learning, Loving and Laughing.” Live entertainment will be provided by Michael Hulett, Karen Lott and the comedy of Kendrick Webb. Holly Band Inspirational C, 2401 Norwich St., Brunswick, will host a gospel program in honor of Deacon Buddy Williams at 6 p.m. at the church Oct. 8. Performers will be the Mighty Flames, His Word Gospellets, the Gospel Eires and the Gospel Resurrections. Other guest groups will also take the stage. For more information, call 506-3663.
