• Evan Kutzler and Jill Stuckey, authors of “Ossabaw Island: A Sense of Place,” will speak at 10:30 a.m. in Room 108 of the St. Simons Casino, 530 Beachview Drive, St. Simons Island, as part of the “Coffee With the Author” series sponsored by the Literary Guild of St. Simons Island. • St. Simons Island Art Crawl will be from 4-7 p.m. at six galleries, and featuring more than 100 local and regional artists. Saturday

Eighth Annual Pedalin’ Poker Ride, will begin with registration at 9:30 a.m. at Bennie’s Red Barn, St. Simons Island. The ride includes three stops to collect a drink and poker card. • Benefit for Second Harvest Food Bank will be from 5-8 p.m. at Halyards, 55 Cinema Lane, St. Simons Island. The event will feature appetizers from four local signature chefs paired with drinks. Cost is $50 per person. Proceeds will help rebuild the freezer at the food bank. Details: 912-816-8689.
