Friday, April 14

• “The Eagle Huntress,” a 2016 British/Mongolian film directed by Otto Bell, will be shown at 7 p.m. in the St. Simons Casino Theater, 530 Beachview Drive, St. Simons Island. This film tells the story of a 13-year-old Mongolian girl who is fighting to become the first female eagle hunter in 12 generations of her Kazakh family. Rated PG. Presented by the Literary Guild of St. Simons Island. A $3 donation is requested.

Saturday, April 15

• The Coastal Georgia Audubon Society will lead a field trip into Cannon’s Point Preserve on St. Simons Island. Anyone interested should meet at 7:30 a.m. in the parking area of the preserve off Lawrence Road on the north end of the island. We will be searching for spring migrants, as well as birds of the marsh and maritime forest. Moderate walking. Details: 404-217-7082.

Peter Cottontail Express, a train ride with an Easter egg hunt following, will begin at 10 a.m., noon and 2 and 4 p.m. will be hosted by the St. Marys Express. • “Spring Fling,” sponsored by the Brunswick-Glynn County Mayor’s Committee on Services for the Disabled, will be from noon to 3 p.m. at Mary Ross Waterfront Park in Brunswick. This event is provided for citizens with disabilities, regardless of age or type of disability, and the general public, to gather for an afternoon of free food, activities, live entertainment and information on local disability-related services and support.

National Junior Ranger Day will begin at 1 p.m. at Fort Frederica National Monument, 6515 Frederica Road, St. Simons Island, with Annette Laing’s “Could You Be an American Colonist?” presentation. Laing portrays Emily, an eccentric cousin of Georgia founder Gen. James Edward Oglethorpe as part of her “Non-Boring History” program for children, teens teachers and families.
