Coastal Pines Technical College Foundation trustees and volunteers are working on the annual golf tournament to be held on Oct. 20 at the Okefenokee Country Club. This event plays a major role in raising funds for the College’s toolbox scholarships. Many scholarships are awarded each year due to the proceeds from this event.

The golf fundraiser will feature teams playing a four-man scramble format. Sponsorships are available. Entry fees for the tourney are $500 for a sponsored team and $100 for a player. The fees include a golf cart and green fees, lunch, a snack/swag bag, a chance to win door prizes and a tee gift.

Registration on the day of the event begins at 11 a.m. at Okefenokee Country Club with lunch served at 11:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. Awards will immediately follow.

Awards will be given for top gross and net teams. Also, there will be prizes for the closest to the pin and the longest drive on certain holes. Walker Jones will be the hole-in-one sponsor for number 14.

Participants can register and pay online at http://cptcfoundation.com/golf-tournament/. Registrations can also be mailed to Coastal Pines Technical College Foundation, 1701 Carswell Avenue, Waycross, GA 31503. Attn: Melinda Laager.
