Project REACH President Curtis Lecount, and vice president, Kenneth Wesley, are pictured at a recent recognition program with recipients of the organization’s 2017 awards. Recipients were Jalaisha Boggs, a 2017 graduate of Brunswick High School who will attend Georgia Southern University in the fall. She received the organization’s first scholarship in the amount of $250. Zakaria Baker, a rising seventh-grade student at Jane Macon Middle School, received the Bronze Presidential Volunteer Service Award for completing a minimum of 50 volunteer hours during the previous school year. The mission of Project REACH is to provide resources for education, aging adults, children, the homeless and hungry.
