The Friends of the Brunswick-Glynn County Library were honored with a proclamation at the Glynn County Commission meeting on Oct. 19 to celebrate the 12th annual National Friends of Libraries Week.

The Friends support the local Library. Annually through their fundraising efforts they donate around $30,000-40,000 to the library.

The public is invited to attend the organization’s annual meeting on Sunday, at 3 p.m. Nov. 5 in the auditorium of the Brunswick-Glynn County Library to learn about all of their Literacy and Fundraising efforts.

A program will be presented by library staff to update the public on the upcoming renovation project at the library. Light refreshments will be served. For more information, visit its website at www.folbwk.org or contact the Brunswick-Glynn County Library at 912-279-3740.
