Valdosta State University is recently announced the members of its graduating class of Summer 2017. Nearly 500 undergraduate and graduate students completed the requirements for their respective degrees during the Summer 2017 semester.

Local graduates include the following: Andria Brimhall of Saint Marys, who earned the education specialist in educational leadership; Ardelle Singleton of Kingsland, who earned the bachelor of science in biology; Brandin Brett of Riceboro, who earned the education specialist in educational leadership; Brandon Evans of Brunswick, who earned the master of education in curriculum and instruction in accomplished teaching; Charity Lumpkin of Brunswick, who earned the bachelor of science in psychology; Chelsea Brown of Brunswick, who earned the bachelor of arts in interdisciplinary studies; Grant Crews of Hoboken, who earned the master of science in psychology; Kristin Tupper of Brunswick, who earned the master of business administration; Kristopher Dawson of Kingsland, who earned the bachelor of science in exercise physiology; Leah Sullivan of Woodbine, who earned the bachelor of science in exercise physiology; Matthew Borders of St. Simons Island, who earned the master of library and information science; Murphy Williams of Kingsland, who earned the bachelor of fine arts in mass media; Pennie Davis of Saint Marys, who earned the doctor of education in leadership; Rachelle Weisenburger of Kingsland, who earned the education specialist in coaching pedagogy in physical education; Ronald Wise of Woodbine, who earned the education specialist in coaching pedagogy in physical education; Shauntae Walker of Brunswick, who earned the master of public administration
